Got to tell you about the new Notice Board.
The Amenities 95 committee gave us permission to have it up outside our lodge to keep you all up to date about what we do and what our purpose is.
Quite simply, what we do is raise funds for local good causes. That is decided upon by our members so if you know a member of our lodge, put it to him and you could get support. Otherwise, come and join us and when you become compliant, you will be able to put forward what you think is a good and worthy cause. We have already done some good deeds in the village but we obviously want to do a lot more.
Modified Lectern
I have modified our Lectern so it looks posh when a new Brother gets initiated. Think about it, it is one of the first things he sees, so first impressions are important
How about this for some good news.......... Another Brother pointed out to me that there was a Apron Collar and Cuffs for the City Marshall on ebay. They had the name of the Charles Wymer Lodge 9970 on them. Yes, I went and bought them. To my surprise when I went to collect them he also had the Cuffs and Apron of the Worthy Primo as well, which obviously I bought. Only to be offered a bunch of Charles Wymer Collars as well. Yes I bought them as well. Will the lodge reimburse me for them? I expect so but time will tell. I have now got a complete spare set of regalia for the lodge AND in the name of the Charles Wymer Lodge.
Have to make a special effort to show the restoration of the collar that we sent to Crest Regalia. They did an amazing job of it, just look at the before and after pictures.
